The Black Label Colli della Toscana Centrale IGT 2015 from the winery I Balzini is a red wine with unforgettable aromas that create emotion, excellent even at the end of a meal.
Grape variety: Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
Vineyard: soil of Pliocene origin, a sedimentary formation characterized by the presence of yellow sands alternating with clays. Notable presence of marine fossils.
Farming system: Soil cultivation alternating with cover cropping and spur pruning of the vine. Thinning of clusters during growth and final selection at harvest; at harvest, the clusters are picked by hand, placed in small crates, and further selected on the conveyor belt.
Winemaking: Maceration in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures of 26-28°C for about 2 weeks. Malolactic fermentation completed.
Aging: In medium-toasted French oak barriques, of which 50% are new, for about 12 months, followed by bottle refinement for at least 18 months.
Year: 2015
Alcohol Percentage: 14% vol.

Color: very intense and deep ruby red with purple hues.
Aroma: intense and elegant characterized by a blend of fruity and spicy notes. Notes of small blackberries and blueberries emerge along with hints of vanilla, tobacco, and cocoa.
Taste: full-bodied, very complex, and elegant. The tannic structure is determined, dense, and very refined. It has great taste persistence. The aftertaste is very pleasant and clearly confirms the notes perceived on the nose.
