The Genziana of Palombaro (26% vol.) is a handcrafted liqueur that surprises with its strong and persistent flavor, characterized by bitter and tonic notes. This unique product is born from the skilled union of Pecorino wine, a native white wine from Abruzzo, and the roots of gentian, a plant known for its digestive properties.
The production process follows the tradition: gentian roots are soaked in Pecorino wine for over a month, allowing the liqueur to develop its unmistakable flavor. At the end of the maceration, the product is carefully filtered and enriched with alcohol and a minimal amount of sugar, thus maintaining a perfect balance between the bitter and sweet notes.
In 2023, Palombaro was established, a company located in Ortona a Mare, on the beautiful Costa dei Trabocchi, in Abruzzo.
