Montasio Mezzano DOP 300g

This cheese is also part of the ancient dairy tradition of the Alpine foothills, particularly in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region. Made from cow's milk, it comes from a semi-cooked paste, and the mezzano version undergoes a maturation period of 4 – 9 months. It has a straw yellow color and a slightly compact paste. Sweet and savory with a nice sensation of fresh milk.

Montasio Mezzano DOP 300g: use in the kitchen

Excellent cheese for the preparation of baked pasta, to be eaten in chunks in salads, for tasty appetizers and for dessert with fruit mustards. Typical Friulian white wines like Friulano, or with dry or extra dry sparkling wines.
