The Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG from the Bocale Agricultural Company perfectly combines aromatic expressiveness, structure, and innate elegance. With great character and personality, it gives its best with the right aging period. All bottles are numbered.
Grapes: Sagrantino 100%.
Harvest: third decade of October. Hand-picked.
Vinification: maceration of at least 40 days exclusively with natural yeasts. Wine is not subjected to any type of stabilization or filtration. Any presence of sediments is to be considered a guarantee of authenticity.
Aging: in oak barrels for 24 months and in bottle for 12 months.
Maturation: wine capable of aging for at least 10 – 15 years.
Year: 2016
Alcohol percentage: 15.5 %
The Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG from the Bocale Agricultural Company is excellent when paired with flavorful first courses like gnocchi with Sagrantino, roasts, grilled dishes, and aged cheeses.
Color: intense ruby red with slight violet reflections.
Aroma: typical aromas of blackberries, currants, and Mediterranean scrub, with spicy notes and hints of vanilla.
Taste: a wine of great structure, with tight and well-polished tannins, presenting a long and persistent finish typical of the variety.
Serving temperature: 18-20°C
