Aged Amarone Vinaccia Grappa - aged in wood

This grappa from Corte Sant'Alda has been aged in oak barrels for about a year. This gives it a beautiful amber color and adds flavor and depth.

The distillation of the pomace is achieved through the traditional method of the alembic. The aging takes place inside the barrel, also known as "barrique", a small wooden cask with a capacity of 225 liters.

Curiosities

The term "barricata" derives from these barrels; in fact, during the French Revolution, they were filled with earth or debris and placed along borders or roads to create barriers.

Aged Amarone Vinaccia Grappa - aged in wood: use in the kitchen

Excellent grappa for after meals, round and enveloping. It is pleasantly enjoyed paired with a great Cigar and a piece of dark chocolate 70–90%. Also very interesting with fiordilatte ice cream or cream flavors.

TASTING

This Amarone pomace grappa offers a remarkable complexity of typical aromas coming from the oak. There are pronounced notes of licorice, vanilla, and mild tobacco.
