The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOP 2016 by Vini La Quercia is a red wine with great character and an intense and emotional aroma.
Grape: 100% Montepulciano.
Production area: Morro d'Oro, Teramo.
Altitude: 210 m a.s.l.
Soil: medium texture.
Vineyard: row, simple guyot.
Harvest: hand-picked, last decade of October.
Vinification: the destemmed and crushed grapes are placed in vitrified cement fermenters, where fermentation begins. After fermentation is complete, maceration continues for another ten days, for a total of about twenty. Following the racking, aging begins in steel and will conclude with at least four/six months in the bottle.
Alcohol content: 13.50% vol
First year of production: 1970.
The label: this is the revised version of the only label present since the foundation of this company.
The Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOP 2016 by Vini La Quercia pairs very well with white meat and mushroom pasta dishes, roasts.
In particular, we recommend pairing it with the following typical dish: chitarra with pallottine.
It presents violet hues, intense and typical aromas of this grape variety, savory and full-bodied.
